SAVES (Sexual Assault Victims Emergency Services), Inc. is a non-profit organization serving Franklin County. It was established by the community in 1982 in order to support victims of sexual assault and their loved ones.

SAVES also works to gain fair and compassionate treatment of sexual assault victims by legal, medical and mental health professionals, as well as the general public. SAVES partners with the community, collaborating to eliminate misperceptions and create educational opportunities for prevention work. To do this, SAVES works closely with many organizations. For more information about our community collaborations, please visit the resource page or contact our office by calling 778-9522 or emailing savesrcc@savesrapecrisis.org.

1 in 4 females1 and 1 in 6 males2 experience sexual violence in their lifetime. Sexual violence is an issue that affects 1 in 5 Mainers3 per year. These statistics speak to the necessity of creating safer spaces within our communities. SAVES makes contact with over 100 victims and survivors of sexual assault, and their loved ones, every year through our toll-free, confidential, twenty-four-hour-a-day helpline. We also connect with victims, survivors, and their supporters through our in-school advocacy and education programs, support groups, community outreach and education, and direct support services.

SAVES’ office is located in Farmington, and our door is open. We welcome anyone who stops in for information or support.
