SAVES provides a wide variety of programs regarding issues related to sexual violence. If you have questions regarding the programs below, please email savesrcc@savesrapecrisis.org.
Sexual Assault Crisis Helpline
Victims or survivors of rape, sexual abuse or incest, recent or past, as well as family members, friends, partners, or professional supporters of victims and survivors can call the SAVES Helpline. The helpline is toll-free and confidential: 1-800-871-7741 (cell phone users: 1-866-740-9516; TTY: 1-800-458-5599) any time, night or day, 365 days a year. The call will be answered by an operator who will have a trained advocate return your call within minutes.
Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
SAVES works closely with local law enforcement and with individuals from the legal system, medical profession, and the community to support victims and survivors' needs and to create a cohesive community response to sexual violence. The most helpful support for victims of sexual assault or abuse may be provided by using a team response.
School-Based Programs
SAVES provides on-campus prevention, intervention, and support services in Franklin County's high schools.
Community & Professional Education
SAVES' ongoing efforts to raise public awareness on these issues include informational programs offered to schools, service organizations, professionals, and other groups in Franklin County. SAVES also sponsors the annual March for Violence Free Communities throughout the streets of downtown Farmington during Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April.
Support Groups
A variety of support groups are available to victims and survivors of sexual abuse, incest or rape. SAVES, working in cooperation with area high schools, provides teenagers with the opportunity to join a school-based support group. Each year, many victims and survivors participate in our support groups.
Does it cost anything to use the services at SAVES?
All direct and indirect support, helpline, and support group services are free of cost. SAVES is a Tri-Valley United Way agency. SAVES receives funds from state, federal and local governments. It also raises funds locally from annual fund-raising efforts.
